About Scott Levy
Born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky—the gateway to America’s Bourbon Trail—Scott Levy’s journey into wine began unexpectedly. After college, a visit to his uncle, Paul Levy, a renowned food and wine journalist in London, opened his eyes to the world of French wine. That summer spent shadowing his uncle at tastings and events sparked a lifelong passion that led him to Burgundy, France.
In Burgundy, Scott worked under the legendary Becky Wasserman in export sales, spending his free time working in the vineyards and cellars of some of the region’s most celebrated producers. Immersed in the traditions of Burgundian winemaking, he developed a deep appreciation for terroir and the delicate balance between art and science that defines great wine.
After two years in France, Scott returned to the United States to direct U.S. exports for the company. In 2000, he founded his own import business, dedicated to representing small, family-owned estates in Burgundy. Over the past 25 years, his portfolio has expanded to include exceptional producers across France—each one chosen for their commitment to authenticity, quality, and the true expression of their terroir.
Whether it’s a village wine from Burgundy, a Côtes du Rhône, or a first growth from Bordeaux, wines selected by Scott Levy consistently reflect integrity, character, and a sense of place—even in the most challenging vintages.
